Jeremiah is on a (what we thought was going to be easy but instead has been) hard rotation right now. That has left me with an over-abundance of time with the little chicken wings…who’ve been acting like two rotten creatures from the deep, to put it mildly. Pace is going through some type of “fear of abandonment” a lot later than I thought it was supposed to happen. In all seriousness, she will not tolerate being in a different room than me and has started waking up multiple times at night scared. Lovely.
Then, there is Mary Aplin. Oh my word! I think she is frustrated because she can’t communicate (as in say words), even though she has caught on that WORDS are how you get things done in this world. So, in frustration, she pitches fits about E V E R Y T H I N G!!!
Caroline (my sister) got engaged to Riley Blair!!!! He flew her to JH Ranch (in California) where they met, and got down on one knee. I love that guy, and there’s something about adding a brother, in a family stocked full of estrogen, that is an exciting breath of fresh air. Let the planning begin!
There has been some exciting stuff happening with my little business. I can’t go into all the details, but check out my etsy, cause I’ve added some new items, like this:
something for fall, like this:
and wouldn’t you love to get a onesie all packaged up in a little bird’s nest like this: 🙂 The Camera:I spent some money and bought a good camera. It feels like Christmas as a kid, when you get that toy you’ve been dreaming of for so long. You keep looking at it lovingly and thinking, “You’re mine. ALL mine!” Jeremiah and I had been talking about it forever, but he just kept saying, “I think you’re right, but let’s go look at them together and decide.” I saw that the likelihood of him being off work during normal business hours AND willing to spend the time shopping–was slim to none. So I just went, on a random Wednesday morning, and bought the one I’d been drooling over. I made sure I could bring it back (if Jeremiah had an aneurysm), but I did it. It was sort of surreal.
i don't think i've ever been the first to comment on your posts…but since i knew that the 16th was THE day you'd be back, i checked in 🙂
i love the tree embroidery and the packaging. great idea!!

Well well well Miss Priss! Glad to see you back! Your Flossy Finch Fall line is gorgeous. I might just have to buy Sipsey one of your pretty little frocks. One last thing…I certainly hope you don't look like the women in that painting when you run!
ps. the picture you posted of the running ladies makes me really thankful for sports bras. for real.
I'm glad you're back, and the picture of the women running made me laugh so hard the I spit water all over my computer screen.
So glad you're back! We've missed you! Seriously, 20 MILES!!!! WOWEEE sister! Love the camera and the new items added to your business. I just decided with all of our packing and trying to sell the house that I wouldn't send the pillowcases to you, I don't have one minute of time! But super glad you are back! Congrats to your sister! 🙂
So glad that you are back and love the new stuff for the Flossy Finch. I think I just might have to place another order. I can't imagine running one mile much less 20 but congrats to you for working so hard at it.
Yay, your back!! Don't go away anymore: )! I love your new Etsy items, they are so cute. I hear ya sister about the fits…I have very clingy children too, I guess they just love being around us: ). I've been wanting a new camera too, and I'M SURE Wayne would have the exact reaction that Jeremiah had!! Call me soon if you get a chance.

LOVE the handmade goodies you've done!!!!! LOVE them. I am AMAZED…20 miles?! Dana M. mentioned ice baths once in connection with running. The thought makes me want to crawl out of my skin!!!! I am so proud of your hard work and determination.
Yes, it is a phase. My kids have each had some issue just like that, and I can tell you it doesn't last. Be consistent, reassuring, and lock yourself in the bathroom! JUST KIDDING. :)))))
So glad you're back! I love reading your blog! You make me laugh at the day to day! 🙂
So glad you are back Abby!!!! I've checked your blog daily…thinking you MIGHT return earlier than expected : ) Can't wait to see the amazing pictures you will be taking with YOUR new camera : ): ) Welcome back : )
Glad you are back! I miss you! Did you get the D3000? I have a D40 (to get me started) but have been wanting the D300. I may have to have an early Christmas too. You are looking too skinny. Better cut back on that running. I wish I could do it. I have been in my training for my half marathon and things keep getting in my way….yea I am on mile 2-3….long way to go!!! Lets go to Chappy's soon.

So glad you are back. I have missed you. Mrs. Robin
I've missed you. Seeing you and reading your blog! I still owe y'all a night of babysitting.
Glad the running is going well. I'm training for ANOTHER half. I just can't commit to a full.
Please dont ever go away again!!! Its SO GOOD to have you back 🙂
I'm so glad you're back too! Blogland just isn't the same without some Abby.
SO proud of your mileage! Also, I was hoping maybe Baby Lucy would get a mention??
You GO girl – you'll love the camera – it's well worth the money to document those beautiful treasures you have – even though they don't act like it much! And I want to hear it's just a phase too, b/c Wilson STILL acts like a tazmanian devil MOST of the time and is now tormenting his little brother ON PURPOSE and making him squeal like a pig 90% of the day – why don't we just get together and watch them have it out???? Great job with the running – I still say better you than me – I know you'll be glad to say you've done it, but i'm still not convinced I could do it! Congrats to Caroline – I know ya'll with have a blast planning and celebrating! I'm so glad you're back – I've missed you!
Glad to have you back!!!!!
